Onion Omega2 Plus
The Onion Omega2 Plus is a Linux computer designed specifically for building connected hardware applications. It combines the tiny form factor and power-efficiency of the Arduino, with the power and flexibility of the Raspberry Pi. The Omega2 Plus is less than 1/4 the size of the Raspberry Pi, and less than 1/3 the size of the Arduino Uno. The Omega2 Plus has integrated Wi-Fi and on-board flash storage. This means that it springs to life the moment you power it on. You don't have to worry about buying Wi-Fi dongles or installing operating system images onto external SD cards.
Using the Omega2 is just like using a desktop computer. There are simple and intuitive apps for you to interact with the Omega2 Plus. There is also an App Store where you can discover even more apps! For the more adventurous, you can even build apps with our SDK and publish them on the Onion App Store to share with the world.

Questions & AnswersAsk a Question
Hi! I have two questions that I cannot figure out from the documentation for the Omega2+ that I'm hoping you can help me with. I'm completely new to IoT devices like this, so hopefully my questions make sense. First, can you use the Omega2+ without a Dock, and if so, how would it be powered (microUSB?) Second, are there any non-GUI capabilities with the Omega2+ that would allow a script to be directly sent to the board to fully set it up? (So if I set one board up completely using the GUI to determine the script, could I then easily automate setting up a bunch of other boards without the step-by-step manual GUI-based procedure in the documentation?) Thanks for your help!
Yes, you can power an Onion Omega 2 or 2+ without a dock - however I absolutely do not recommend it. I have attached a link below from the manufacturer that outlines the process. We do not recommend this method - if you are not careful you can irreparably damage the board.

Secondly, you can set up your Onion using the command line instead of the GUI. I have always used the GUI, more out of pure habit than anything else though...

Thanks for your questions!
Does this come with or without header pins installed? I would like to skip the pins and save weight
These come with the header pins installed from the factory. Headerless units require a special order.
